This website is the on-line presence of a real brick and mortar independent wine shop, staffed by real people, whose reason for being is to bring great wine to great people. Wine is our passion and we do everything we can to find the best wine values, at a variety of budgets, to help our customers have the best wine experience they can have. Were located near the Pacific Ocean, in Laguna Niguel California (halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego). People here live within easy travel distance of a vast number of the best in US wineries and they really love great wine. It is our joy to bring them even closer to the best.

Through this site you can visit our store and see all the wines we have. Because we are real people, who care about wine, weve tasted just about every wine we sell, so you can be sure our wines have been people-tested. Given the wide variances in wines and in peoples palates, however, what we like may not always be what you like. To help with that we try to provide notes on each wine as a guide. Many of the notes are those of the winery or winemaker, many are our own, and some are those of renowned wine critics. You can also call us to get a more personal recommendation. When you find what you want, place it in your shopping cart. When youre done, check out and we will ship your purchase to you providing, of course, that you live in a state that allows us to do so.

You will soon also be able to join one of a number of wine clubs and we will ship you a selection of our best wine picks on a regular basis (again.. dependent upon the state to which you want us to ship). This will be a great way to discover new wines. Look for the clubs on this site soon.

The Store

Welcome to Salt Creek Wine Company, your premier wine merchant and tasting facility, in Laguna Niguel, California. Named for nearby Salt Creek Beach, but definitely wine country inspired, we feature a large selection of wines, cheeses, cured meats, bread, olive oils and vinegars, chocolates, and a selection of wine accessories to enhance the wine experience. Wine and cheese tastings are scheduled most Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with special events scheduled when winemakers or winery owners are available to taste their wines with us.

The shop currently features 350+ wines from around the world. California, Oregon and Washington wineries are our major focus, but Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Portugal, South Africa and France are also represented. There is an eclectic mix of known labels and small-production, harder-to-find wines.

Cheeses are available to taste and buy by the pound. A selection of cured meats are offered. some by the pound; others pre-packaged. Outstanding fresh bread is supplied by a local restaurant purveyor. Wine clubs, gift baskets and wine education will add to the shops mix.
